Our mission at PFLAG+ Brisbane is to improve the lives of LGBTQIA+ loved ones and their families. We provide peer support and education sessions for parents of LGBTQIA+ children of all ages as well as social events for families, friends and allies to foster connection and support.
We also work in the community to raise awareness of the unique issues faced by the LGBTIQA+ community and their families and create opportunities for conversations between children, parents, peers and others.
PFLAG+ Brisbane is a non-funded organisation which is a 100% voluntary and has relied on private donations by parents and allies. We are a small community of parents who volunteer our time to support other parents.
As parents of LGBTQIA+ children and adults, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live openly, honestly and safely, free from discrimination, exclusion and abuse.
